Oxbridge and Russell Group University Applications
For those students wishing to apply for either a competitive entry university or course, we have a specialst mentor group to ensure that students are fully supported throughout the application and interview process.
Students need to be aware that some popular degree courses (such as Law, Dentistry, Veterinary Science, Medicine and entry into Oxbridge) require them to sit additional tests, which need to be organised by students themselves that wish to access these courses before the end of Year 12.
A number of these popular degree courses at competitive universities have an early application deadline of October. Students who may wish to apply to these universities will be identified early and will work with specialist staff led by Mr Rolfe in an 'Early Application' Mentor Group to ensure they are fully prepared for their application. This group is known as the '1510' group. Through this group students will have access to the following support:
1:1 support with personal statements and interview preparation
Seminars with Oxbridge outreach
Visiting outreach officers to support applicants applying to study medicine
Q&A sessions with Lutterworth College Alumni who have made successful applications to competitve entry univiserties and courses
Admissions test support through discussion, past papers and exemplar materials
