Operation Encompass

The College is part of Operation Encompass, a national safeguarding initiative working in partnership with local police forces.

Operation Encompass ensures that schools are informed, at the start of the next school day, when a child or young person has been involved in or exposed to a domestic abuse incident the previous evening or night. This information is shared securely and confidentially with the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead.

The purpose of Operation Encompass is to enable schools to offer timely, appropriate support to children who may be affected by domestic abuse, helping them feel safe, supported, and able to engage in learning.
